PERSONAL RELEVANCE: Long-time readers will know that almost all of the above apply to me, so if there was ever a patron saint for me, St. Dymphna is it. If I had known about her when I got confirmed, I probably would have chosen her as my confirmation saint.
Nobody should be ashamed to talk about their mental health struggles, or to seek help. Your mental health is no different from your physical health – no less valid, no less important, no less worthy of treatment.
